Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Rail Bridge Engineer to join the Bridge Team in Albany, NY (also in other cities). You will lead complex rail bridge designs, provide engineering expertise, mentor staff, and contribute to proposals and client communications.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, a structural/civil background, and strong leadership. This role emphasizes collaboration across departments to deliver safe, reliable infrastructure projects across transportation networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering is required.
• PE license is required for the role.
• Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of complex bridge designs and specifications.
• Provide expert consultation on bridge and transportation engineering issues.
• Lead advanced technical projects with other departments and PM staff.
• Develop discipline work plans aligned with milestones and budgets.
• Mentor junior engineering staff and perform technical reviews.
• Prepare proposals and deliver external presentations to clients and agencies.
