Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. in Albany, NY, seeks a Bridge Section Manager to lead design and delivery of bridge infrastructure within the Bridge Team. You will direct planning, coordinate multidisciplinary engineers, and manage budgets, scope, and schedules for high‑impact transportation projects.

You’ll mentor junior engineers, engage with clients and regulators, and ensure QA/QC while advancing resilient infrastructure for communities we serve. PE licensed professionals encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 10 years progressive engineering experience; project or team management preferred.
• Proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.).
• Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures and engineering laws.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Organize, direct, and coordinate activities related to bridge infrastructure projects from initial assessment through planning and design.
• Collaborate with team leadership to manage a high-performing group of professionals and achieve utilization goals.
• Effectively manage project budgets, scope, and schedules for critical bridge initiatives.
• Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to meet requirements and exceed expectations.
