Job summary

Constellation is recruiting for a Radiation Protection role in Cordova, IL to administer the radioactive materials shipping/receiving program and ensure compliance with state, federal, and company regulations.

Responsibilities include handling shipments, calculations, record retention, and regulatory updates; strong communication skills are required to effectively inform diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in health physics or related science with 3 years of experience in applied Radiation Protection.
• Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 5 years of applied Radiation Protection experience.
• Associate's degree in health physics or related science with 5 years of experience in applied Radiation Protection.
• High school diploma/GED with 7 years of experience in applied Radiation Protection.
• Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical exam/test.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipping and receiving of radioactive materials including inspections and shipment authorizations.
• Perform Curie content calculations, classify radwaste shipments, and 10CFR61 analysis.
• Maintain computer programs for radioactive material shipments.
• Stay updated on radioactive shipping regulations and incorporate changes.
• Develop and deliver oral and written communications for all audiences.
