Job summary

Constellation Energy Corp. is seeking a Nuclear Materials Shipping Specialist to manage the shipping and receiving of radioactive materials at our station, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and company regulations.

The role requires a health physics background and 3–5 years of radiation protection experience, with NRRPT/CHP preferred. Responsibilities include calculations, record-keeping, and emergency coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health physics or related science with 3 years of experience in applied Radiation Protection.
• Senior Reactor Operator license with 5 years of applied Radiation Protection experience.
• Associate's degree with 5 years of applied Radiation Protection experience.
• High school diploma with 7 years of applied Radiation Protection experience.
• Maintain minimum access requirements and favorable medical examination as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipping and receiving of radioactive materials, inspections, and shipment authorizations.
• Perform Curie content calculations, classify radwaste shipments, and 10CFR61 analysis; ensure maintenance of relevant computer programs.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and incorporate into procedures.
• Develop and deliver clear oral and written communications for all audiences.
• Support emergency response duties and other department duties as directed.
