Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health physics or related science with 2 years of experience in applied Radiation Protection OR
• Associate’s degree with 4 years of experience in applied Radiation Protection OR
• High school diploma/GED with 6 years of experience in applied Radiation Protection OR
• Bachelor's degree in health physics or related science with 3 years of experience for Sr Radwaste Shipper OR
• Senior Reactor Operator license with 5 years of applied Radiation Protection experience OR
• Associate's degree with 5 years of applied Radiation Protection experience OR
• High school diploma/GED with 7 years of applied Radiation Protection experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee the shipping and receiving of radioactive materials including inspections and authorizations for shipment
• Perform Curie content calculations, classify radwaste shipments, and CFR 10 CFR 61 analysis
• Maintain appropriate computer programs for radioactive material shipments
• Keep abreast of industry changes regarding radioactive shipping regulations and guidelines
• Develop and deliver effective oral and written communications
• Support outage activities and emergency response duties as directed by management

Education

Bachelor’s degree in health physics or related science degrees

Associate’s degree in health physics or related science degrees

High school diploma/GED

Bachelor's degree in health physics or related science degrees (Sr Radwaste Shipper)

Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license
