Job summary

Nusano is seeking a Senior R&D Radiochemist to own major chemistry workstreams related to isotope production. The role designs and executes complex experiments, applies QbD, mentors early-career scientists, and resolves cross-functional technical issues.

This is an onsite role based out of West Valley City offices. The candidate will lead development activities, ensure safety compliance, and contribute to regulatory-ready documentation while collaborating across functions to advance new isotope

Qualifications

Ph.D. in radiochemistry or related field with 4–6+ years progressive experience, or M.S. with 6–8+ years.
Experience owning complex development workstreams and delivering results.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, execution and troubleshooting of chemistry development workstreams.
Design and execute complex experiments, analyze data, and recommend next steps.
Apply QbD principles and lead risk-based assessments.
Drive continuous improvement of chemistry processes and workflows.
Support benchtop-to-hot cell scale-up activities and hand off to Operations.
Coordinate with safety and other experts to ensure compliance for new product development.
Provide SME during cross-functional investigations and technical discussions.
Mentor early-career scientists and support onboarding.
