Oklo Inc in Austin, Texas, seeks a Director of Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) to lead radiochemistry and CMC for isotope programs, including Lu-177, Am-241, Ra-226. This role demands deep radiochemistry expertise, strong leadership, and regulated-environment experience.

Qualifications

• Masters in Radiochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of radiochemistry/isotope production or closely related experience.
• Experience with cGMP manufacturing (US/EU) for radiopharmaceuticals or similar.
• Experience with CMC development, process characterization, technology transfer, validation, and continued process verification.
• Direct experience with Lu-177 production, separations, purification, or medical-isotope manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CMC and radiochemistry organization for isotope process development, implementation, and lifecycle management.
• Oversee Lu-177 production and Am-241/Ra-226 processing including dissolution, purification, and waste minimization.
• Establish technical basis for manufacturing processes: flows, material balances, specs, controls.
• Lead process development, scale-up, and technology transfer for radiochemical processes in hot cells/gloveboxes.
• Own analytical strategy for products, impurities, waste streams, and process performance.
• Maintain cGMP framework: validation, verification, change control, deviations, investigations, and continuous improvement.
• Provide senior technical authority for troubleshooting focusing on yield, purity, and capacity.
• Support equipment design, commissioning, qualification, startup, and readiness with cross-functional teams.
• Build, mentor, and manage radiochemistry team with emphasis on safety, quality, and documentation.
• Support regulatory activities, audits, inspections, and development of new isotope products and capabilities.
