University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health) in Chicago, IL is seeking a Radiation Therapist I to support Radiation Oncology. You will assist in simulation, treatment setup, and dosimetry-related tasks under supervision and will participate in training and quality assurance activities.

The role requires IL licensure in radiation therapy, ARRT certification, and AHA CPR. It is an on-site, full-time position with a competitive hourly pay range and benefits eligibility.

Competenze

• Licensure in radiation therapy technology is required by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency.
• ARRT Board certification is required.
• CPR certification (AHA) must be current.

Mansioni

• Assist Radiation Oncologist, Physicist, and Chief Technologist in treatment simulation.
• Transmit simulation procedures to treatment machines to ensure accurate reproduction of treatment area.
• Position patients in proper orientation to the simulator using immobilization devices.
• Assist the treatment planning team in basic dosimetry calculations by gathering information and measurements.
• Explain treatment procedures to patients and address questions.
• Maintain daily treatment records and ensure charts are complete and up-to-date.
• Perform weekly verification of patient treatment site for ongoing accuracy.
• Maintain treatment rooms with daily machine warm-up and inventory documentation.
• Assist in billing procedures according to departmental policies.
• Assist in orientation and training of Radiation Therapist I and II.
• Perform other related duties and participate in projects as assigned.
