GBMC HealthCare seeks a Radiation Therapist with a strong background in administering ionizing radiation therapy, patient care, and safety protocols. The role requires 5+ years of experience, ARRT registration, and Maryland CPR certification, working under supervision with established procedures.

Responsibilities include chart reviews, treatment delivery, quality assurance, and precise documentation. On-call duties and cross-team collaboration ensure continuous patient care and schedule

Qualifications

• 2-year training program in radiation therapy.
• Registered in radiation therapy by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Licensed by State of Maryland Heart Saver (CPR Certification).
• 5+ years experience in Radiation Therapy

Responsabilités

• Reviews patients' treatment charts for prescription, monitor units, prescribed dose and set up parameters to accurately deliver a course of radiation therapy.
• Maintains an atmosphere of caring, concern, and support for patients, visitors, medical staff, and coworkers on a consistent basis.
• Delivers radiation treatment according to written prescription and treatment plan.
• Provides safety and patient care through the consistent practice of departmental procedures for treatment administration.
• Recognizes deviation from prescribed treatment delivery and reports all deviations to the chief therapist/physicist.
• Assures the quality of treatment delivery throughout complete and accurate documentation of treatment records.
• Explains treatment procedures to patient and/or family. Refers medical questions to appropriate personnel.
• Performs as needed in all treatment procedures.
