Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Radar Engineer Lead in California to support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC). The role includes leading radar hardware design, development, and integration with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic defense environment.

The candidate will perform analyses, coordinate testing, engage with suppliers, and guide junior engineers to resolve complex radar challenges while ensuring program milestones and high reliability of range radar systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• 5+ years of RF and Radar systems experience.
• Experience with Windows-based systems and Office suite.
• Ability to contribute to complex multi-discipline proposals.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, modifies, evaluates and implements radar hardware systems.
• Leads and guides technical staff on projects.
• Supports testing and qualification of range radar hardware.
• Develops system models, simulations, and analyses to propose optimal solutions.
• Interacts with vendors and internal management to communicate needs.
