Raytheon Missiles Defense Sensors (MDS) in Woburn, MA is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Electronic Protection and Arbitrary Waveform Development team supporting the AN/TPY-2 Missile Defense Radar Program. This on-site role offers the opportunity to shape cutting-edge radar systems.

Qualified candidates will have a STEM degree with 5+ years in systems engineering, radar experience, proficiency in MATLAB/C/ADA/DOORS, and an active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in systems engineering including requirements development and documentation.
• 2+ years of radar engineering experience.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, C/C++, ADA, DOORS.
• Experience with AI/ML and signal processing in radar context.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Active DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Designing and prototyping new algorithms to enhance system performance.
• Analyzing radar system performance data to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Identifying performance gaps and proposing innovative solutions.
• Presenting technical plans, designs, and performance analyses to peers, leadership, and customers.
• Providing subject matter expertise to agile software development teams to enable proper implementation of requirements.
