Job summary

KBR in Chantilly, Virginia is seeking a Radar Subject Matter Expert to push SAR and MTI processing techniques through research and development initiatives. The role emphasizes independent problem solving and collaboration with DoD/IC analysts to deliver advanced geospatial data processing solutions.

Candidates will code and validate algorithms in C, C++, Python, FORTRAN and MATLAB, supporting both research and operational projects. An active TS/SCI with CI Poly is required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly is required.
• Advanced STEM degree required.
• 20+ years' space systems R&D experience.
• Satellite development experience with low or high earth systems.
• Domain expertise in GEOINT space systems and Major space system performance.
• Experience interacting with development contractors and participating in design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Research SAR and MTI processing and algorithm development.
• Provide technical analyses and support for R&D and DoD/IC projects.
• Conceive, plan and conduct research using advanced methods for complex problems.
• Make independent decisions on R&D engineering problems and planning.
• Support algorithm and analytical development using languages (C, C++, Python, FORTRAN, MATLAB).
• Provide geospatial expertise in response to information requests.
