Job summary
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Radar Research and Development Scientist, Senior Project Engineer – Signal & Image Process Engineering, to lead advanced RADAR programs within the GEOINT Research and Technology Directorate. This role entails guiding government customers, coordinating with contractors, and delivering strategic technical solutions on site in Chantilly, VA.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s OR Advanced degree in mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of post-bachelor experience (time spent obtaining advanced degree counts).
- Experience with SAR space-based systems.
- Familiarity with space system payload and/or vehicle development from requirements through on-orbit operations.
- Current TS/SSBI/SCI security clearance; U.S. citizenship required to obtain clearance.
Responsibilities
- Assist GEOINT customers in planning, negotiating and executing crucial space system technology development decisions.
- Lead analysis and develop recommendations for future RADAR systems and architectures.
- Lead analysis on development and implementation of electronic protection across the customer community.
- Communicate programmatic and technical issues and provide independent recommendations to Aerospace management and Government customers.
- Integrate Aerospace activities to focus the corporation’s strength on customer capabilities.
