Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a Senior Radar Perception Engineer to design and implement the next-generation autonomous driving perception stack. You will lead architecture and hands-on development for radar-based 3D obstacle perception, integrating multi-sensor fusion and state-of-the-art transformer-based models.

Responsibilities include production-grade model design, radar sensor evaluation, and collaboration across AI, hardware, and safety teams to ensure scalable, low-latency deployment.

Qualifications

• 12 years of hands-on experience in deep learning–based perception or radar systems.
• Data-driven development with cross‑functional data and labeling teams.
• Strong Python and/or C programming; production‑quality software.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration across AI, hardware and safety.

Responsibilities

• Architect and roadmap radar-based 3D obstacle perception for autonomous driving.
• Conduct applied research on deep learning models for radar data; tackle angular resolution, multipath, ghost targets, and class imbalance.
• Design and implement radar-based 3D perception models and multi-sensor fusion (camera, radar, lidar).
• Drive radar sensor evaluation and layout optimization for L2–L4 driving.
• Build production-grade deep learning models with scalable training and evaluation practices.
• Define KPI frameworks and analyze large datasets to improve accuracy and robustness.
• Contribute to data strategy and labeling workflows with model-assisted tooling.
• Collaborate with safety, systems, and software teams to meet product requirements.
