Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Perception Engineer to design and productize the next-generation autonomous driving perception stack. You’ll work on the core 3D obstacle perception pipeline and stay hands-on with implementation using transformer-based and multi-modal techniques.

You’ll contribute to architecture, data strategy, and model optimization for production-grade systems, collaborating across safety, systems, and software teams to meet product requirements and scale deployment.

Qualifications

• PhD/MS/BS with extensive relevant experience in CS/Engineering.
• Hands-on experience building deep learning–based perception systems for real-world problems.
• Strong proficiency in PyTorch and producing production-quality software.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement 3D perception models for autonomous driving applications.
• Develop end-to-end perception pipeline with multi-sensor fusion (camera/radar/lidar).
• Optimize models for latency and compute, including transformer-based methods.
• Collaborate with data/ground-truth teams on data strategy and labeling quality.
• Define KPI frameworks and assess large-scale datasets to improve accuracy and robustness.
• Work with safety and systems teams to ensure deployment readiness.
