RTX is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Portsmouth, RI, to join the Hardware and Infrastructure team. The role focuses on COTS hardware design, testing, and integration for next‑gen RADAR solutions, with a current Secret clearance and potential travel.

You will bridge cross-functional teams, design and prototype in a lab, and ensure on-time delivery within scope and quality. Onsite work is required with relocation offered based on eligibility.

Qualifications

• STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience (or advanced degree with 3+ years).
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Lab environment experience with oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, emulators, data capture tools.
• Ability to take a concept to a complete COTS-based hardware design and verify with test plans.
• U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Design COTS hardware infrastructure systems (X86-based processors).
• Research and select servers, workstations, interfaces, storage, and other COTS hardware.
• Engineer BIOS and operating system configuration definitions.
• Work in a lab environment and operate standard test equipment including oscilloscopes, processors bus analyzers, emulators, and data capture tools.
• System prototyping and integration in the lab.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, supply chain, field engineering, on-site installation, and customers to deliver safety-critical systems.
• Support occasional domestic travel and potential international travel.
