Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer (Air-to-Ground) in Maryland to support SEIT across radar platforms. You will analyze requirements, draft specifications, and contribute to lab and field tests for evolving radar systems. Collaboration with RF, hardware, and software teams is essential to deliver compliant solutions.

Ideal candidates have radar and MBSE exposure, strong MATLAB/Python skills, and the ability to obtain SAP access. This on-site role requires U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience; Master’s degree with 0 years may substitute.
• U.S. Citizenship required; active Government Secret Clearance.
• Experience with radar, RF systems, or advanced sensors; MBSE helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist with requirements analysis, allocation, and documentation for radar system and subsystem functions.
• Help develop and maintain system/subsystem specifications and ICDs.
• Support technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) with analysis, figures, and documentation.
• Use MATLAB or Python to perform basic radar performance analyses (range, resolution, SNR).
• Support development and evaluation of radar concepts and algorithms under guidance from senior engineers.
• Assist in planning and executing lab and field tests of radar systems and subsystems.
• Support test data collection, reduction, and basic analysis to verify performance against requirements.
• Work closely with RF, hardware, software, and other systems engineers to ensure consistent requirements implementation.
