Rivian is seeking a Sr. Staff Radar DSP Engineer to define the signal processing architecture for next-generation 4D imaging RADAR.

You will work with a cross-functional team to drive algorithms from concept to production, optimizing KPI targets for range, velocity, and angular resolution. The role requires deep radar DSP expertise, hands-on development in MATLAB/Python/C++, and collaboration with hardware, firmware, and perception teams to ensure tight integration and real-time performance on

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field, focus on signal processing/radar systems.
• 8+ years of experience developing signal processing algorithms and DSP pipelines for RADAR systems, imaging/high-resolution automotive/robotics radar.
• Deep expertise in radar signal processing fundamentals: FMCW/chirp waveform design, range-Doppler processing, MIMO, digital beamforming, and angle estimation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize signal processing algorithms and DSP pipelines for high-performance 4D imaging RADAR end-to-end.
• Define radar processing chain architecture: waveform design, MIMO/virtual arrays, beamforming, range-Doppler-angle estimation.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and perception teams to deliver production-ready DSP solutions.
