Job summary

Raytheon in McKinney, TX, seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the Radar Array for a multi-mission AESA-based system. You will own design, development, and sustainment of the designated array within the MFRFS product line, interfacing with program management and engineering teams.

The role is onsite, requires DoD Secret clearance, and offers growth across advanced radar tech. Candidates should have strong leadership, RF design, and production experience to drive complex projects to

Qualifications

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with RF simulation tools (ADS, HFSS, SystemVue).
Experience with RF testing using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and near-field probes.
Technical leadership to resolve tough engineering challenges.
Electrical hardware design and development, with adherence to design standards.
Experience producing active antenna array assemblies (AESAs).
Strong written and verbal communication for management and customers.

Responsibilities

Serve as principal technical contact and engineer for development, production and sustainment of the designated array.
Interface with program engineering/management to the Array design authority.
Collaborate with the array chief engineer on issues and prioritization, report status.
Provide design improvement recommendations and risk analyses to the chief engineer.
Coordinate design updates, production issues, and field support for the array.
Occasional travel to customer sites as needed.
