Wordsmith is building a premier in-house legal operations platform and is expanding rapidly. You will own R&D hiring from intake to signed offer for roles across Product Engineers, Applied AI, LLM Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers and Designers.

You will partner with engineering and product leaders to define level expectations and run rigorous, candidate-centric processes. This is not a coordination role; you will close top talent, move quickly with data-driven decisions, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting at product-led tech companies recruiting software engineers.
• Ability to discuss stacks, levels and system design with engineers.
• Proven track record with hires, offers and performance.
• Most hires sourced directly by candidate recruiter rather than inbound.
• Fluency with Ashby or a similar ATS and use of AI in workflow.

Responsabilités

• Deliver bar-raising R&D hires each quarter.
• Own a robust, fair and fast recruiting process optimized to hire the best talent.
• Source engineers directly from GitHub, research communities, alumni networks and competitor teams.
• Run fast technical loops with tight take-homes and quick debriefs.
• Own candidate from first message to first day, negotiating cash with equity and scope.
• Report on hiring funnel weekly and improve based on data.
