Job summary

Highridge Medical is seeking a Sr. R&D Swiss Machinist to lead the Swiss machining operations in our prototyping shop.

You will program, setup, and operate Swiss CNC equipment and work from drawings and models to produce prototype components. You will manage department priorities, materials, calibration, maintenance, and vendor coordination, while collaborating with engineering on design for manufacturing and fixture development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience operating Swiss Type CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical degree, vocational training, apprenticeship, or certification in machining preferred.
• Ability to review CAD drawings and work with engineering on design for manufacturing (DFM).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously in an R&D prototype shop.

Responsibilities

• Program, perform setup, and operate Swiss CNC equipment.
• Operate manual mills, lathes, and finishing equipment to create prototype parts and fixtures.
• Manage materials, budgeting, and equipment maintenance for the Swiss department.
• Collaborate with engineering on product design for manufacturing and fixture development.
• May perform basic inspection of parts and fixtures.
