Job summary

BlueScope North America seeks a Product Excellence Manager with a Civil Engineering background to lead product definition and documentation in alignment with current building codes and industry practices.

You will oversee design, testing and development of products, hire engineers, and ensure effective communication across departments to support compliant product introductions and external collaborations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one US state.
• 15 years of industry experience and knowledge of codes and standards.
• Manufacturing processes and Vision interdependencies understanding.

Responsibilities

• Manage design, testing, development, and modification of products and their definition into the engineering system to meet code and quality requirements.
• Hire and manage engineers and product specialists; schedule for efficient production.
• Ensure timely and accurate responses to product or procedural inquiries from management and customers.
• Ensure proper communication of product requirements with managers and employees.
