Job summary

Henkel GCC is seeking a Principal Epoxy Chemist in Rocky Hill, CT to lead data-driven R&D in adhesives technology. You will collaborate across teams to advance product development, apply statistical methods, and ensure high data quality in the lab.

The role requires strong communication, lab proficiency, and the ability to work both independently and in teams within a fast-paced environment. This position is based in the Adhesive Technologies division.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in chemistry, biology or a science field with 8–10 years in a chemical lab.
• Bachelor's degree with 4–6 years in a chemical lab is preferred.
• Collaborate with team in product development programs.
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Collects and communicates data and basic observations to the Chemist/ Scientist
• Ensures data quality, consistency and reproducibility
• Applies math and statistics to adhesive product testing
• Drives lab and process improvements
• Acts as independent problem solver with minimal supervision
• Performs R&D lab work safely with PPE and 5S practices
• Familiar with curing and dispensing equipment
