Job summary

Henkel, in the Adhesive Technologies unit, is seeking a scientist to perform laboratory work, analyze chemical and physical data, and collaborate across teams. The role is onsite at our Chanhassen facility, with strong emphasis on data quality, safety, and documentation.

You will set up and troubleshoot equipment, develop new tests, and present findings to internal customers. A chemistry/engineering background and 1–3 years of lab experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science or related science field.
• 1–3 years of working experience in a chemical laboratory environment.
• Ability to gather, understand and interpret chemical, physical and mechanical data.
• Ability to work as a team member and independently on multi-task assignments.
• Ability to present information effectively in small groups.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Minitab or JMP (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory work safely and follow SDS, PPE, 5S and site safety practices.
• Own and operate application equipment safely and efficiently.
• Set up, operate and troubleshoot moderate complexity equipment.
• Record experimental details and organize data clearly.
• Analyze and judge data quality and report results promptly.
• Follow standardized test plans with minimal supervision.
• Develop new tests for materials performance as needed.
• Prepare graphs or charts of data.
