Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to lead projects and design new products for its power distribution division.

The role requires deep technical knowledge of switchgear and switchboard design, and a passion for mentoring engineers while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical design for complex assemblies, a strong background in sheet metal fabrication, and the ability to communicate across teams and with

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required with 5+ years in switchgear design.
• Experience designing parts for sheet metal fabrication and large assemblies.
• Knowledge of ANSI, ASME, NEC and UL standards is essential.
• US work authorization without sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and develop complex mechanical assemblies for multiple product lines.
• Create drawings for parts, weldments, and assemblies.
• Develop BOMs and release configurations for test samples and production.
• Assist in test plans, product documentation, and training materials.
• Collaborate with test labs and coordinate test schedules.
• Mentor and guide others on the R&D team.
