Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field required.
• A minimum of 4+ years related work experience.
• Experience working in the design and development of medical devices.
• Prior experience working in the design and testing of stents, stent delivery systems and cardiovascular catheters would be an additional asset.

Responsibilities

• Applies comprehensive medical device engineering knowledge to perform varied tasks and projects.
• May contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
• Works on complex projects of medium scope.
• Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and aligned with objectives.
• Completes work independently, receives general guidance on new projects.
• Accountable for design reviews ensuring design solutions are documented, evaluated, and tested properly.
• Works on the design of devices and components as an individual contributor, with potential to lead as needed.
• Collaborates with manufacturing engineers on process development for mass production.
