Cordis, LLC is seeking a Staff R&D Engineer to identify and advance next-generation opportunities in structural heart and heart failure therapies through early-stage concept development and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate combines deep engineering expertise with market awareness and customer-centric thinking, translating insights into innovative cardiovascular device concepts and development plans.

Formación

• Requires Engineering Bachelors Degree and 12+ years of relevant experience or Master's Degree and 10+ years of experience, including significant experience in early-stage product development.

Responsabilidades

• Lead early-stage research and development activities for innovative cardiovascular medical devices.
• Identify and evaluate front-end innovation opportunities through assessment of competitive landscape, emerging technologies, clinical trends, and unmet needs.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing and Clinical teams to conduct VOC activities and define product opportunity spaces.
• Drive concept generation, feasibility assessments, and early prototyping for cardiovascular device platforms.
• Support development of innovation strategies aligned with business and clinical priorities.
• Translate user insights and technical findings into actionable product concepts and development plans.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, clinical, regulatory, quality, and commercial teams throughout the innovation process.
• Maintain awareness of evolving technologies, intellectual property, and market dynamics within cardiovascular therapies.
• Contribute technical expertise to portfolio planning, risk assessments, and roadmaps.
