Job summary

nVent is seeking an experienced electrical design professional to develop and verify complex electronics products. You will perform design, analysis, testing and documentation, contributing to high voltage distribution and control systems and involving circuit board design and fabrication.

Collaboration across multifunctional teams and leadership of technical activities are expected. Preferred candidates bring hands-on testing experience, familiarity with ARM Cortex architectures, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Ideally 5+ years of experience in electronics/electrical design and/or product development.
• Hands-on test and verification experience with engineering methods and equipment.
• Experience with high voltage power distribution and control systems preferred.
• Experience with circuit board design and fabrication, schematic and layout familiarity.
• Solid understanding of Cortex ARM processor architectures.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink/LabVIEW/PSpice or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Altium or comparable electronic design software.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering design techniques to develop and plan complex design, development and test tasks.
• Conduct specialized technical analyses and contribute to modeling and product specifications.
• Provide technical support to project leaders with test procedures and documentation.
• Work in kaizen teams to encourage cross-functional collaboration and goal achievement.
