Regeneron is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist in R&D Chemistry to drive synthetic organic chemistry efforts supporting antibody‑conjugate drug discovery. The role emphasizes retrosynthetic analysis, multistep syntheses, and spectroscopic data interpretation within a collaborative, cross‑functional environment.

Ideal candidates hold an M.Sc. in synthetic organic chemistry with 5–7 years of industry experience in small‑molecule drug discovery, and familiarity with ADME/PK concepts is a plus.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. in synthetic organic chemistry or related field.
• Familiarity with drug discovery processes and modern methods of synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry.
• 5–7 years of industry drug discovery experience with small molecules.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day laboratory activities including small-molecule syntheses and compound isolation/characterization.
• Troubleshoot and analyze data; propose synthetic approaches to new targets.
• Discuss biological data and targets to address SAR directions.
• Identify strategies/technologies for synthetic execution of targets of interest.
• Work within cross-functional teams to progress technology and pipeline projects.
• Participate in departmental meetings to contribute expertise and align goals.
