Job summary

Kemp Quarries Inc. is seeking a Quarry Superintendent in SW Missouri to lead safety-focused mining operations and a skilled hourly workforce. You will oversee day-to-day production, equipment maintenance, and site planning to ensure efficient operations and quality control.

The role requires MSHA certification, strong leadership and communication, and willingness to relocate if needed. Day shifts are common with a safety-first culture and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
• 3+ years’ supervisory experience in aggregate mining with understanding of blasting, crushers, and conveyors.
• Experience with quality control procedures and understanding of process changes to obtain product gradations.
• Must maintain a safe driving record and have a valid driver’s license. CDL a plus.
• Flexibility to work various schedules; typically day shift.
• Strong work ethic; leadership and communication skills.
• Will be MSHA certified.
• General knowledge of iPad/iPhone applications.
• Basic Word, Excel and Outlook skills.
• Good math skills for stockpile volumes, conveyor speeds, etc.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work around heavy equipment.
• Must be willing to relocate if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supervise training and development of a safe and efficient hourly workforce per company policies and MSHA requirements.
• Manage day-to-day operations including pre-shift inspections, reporting production, and maintaining plant efficiency.
• Oversee maintenance of all equipment and the scale house.
• Develop and maintain reclamation/site plans.
