Job summary

Kemp Quarries, Inc. is seeking a Quarry Superintendent for the River Valley/ Ft. Smith area. The role leads safety-focused supervision of an hourly workforce, ensures MSHA compliance, and drives daily quarry and plant operations, maintenance, and production reporting.

The candidate will develop reclamation plans, manage inventory, and coordinate with shop personnel on repairs, while maintaining a strong safety culture and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in aggregate mining operations.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Familiar with MSHA and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of plant equipment and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise training and development of hourly workforce.
• Oversee MSHA workplace exams and pre-shift inspections.
• Manage daily operations, production reporting, and quality control.
• Plan and supervise labor duties, maintenance, and site improvements.
• Lead weekly safety toolbox talks and coordinate repairs with shop personnel.
