Job summary

Capella, an IonQ company, seeks a Technical Program Manager to oversee cross-functional projects from planning to delivery, ensuring alignment with technical and strategic goals. You will manage schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies across component upgrades and integration with NextGen spacecraft design.

The role requires coordinating with engineering, operations, and program leadership, driving data‑driven decisions and maintaining clear documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher education in engineering, science, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
• Proven ability to manage technical development and/or R&D scope.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Experience leading technology projects through full program lifecycle including planning, execution, project closure, stakeholder management and issue/dependency management.
• Experience developing and maintaining a comprehensive project portfolio and tracking schedules across multiple development projects.
• Ability to prioritize projects based on strategic importance, resource availability and business impact.
• Experience managing complex budgets including labor forecasts, actuals, materials, and subcontractors.
• Mentor and knowledge share with project resources to ensure accountability for deliverables.
• Strong documentation and communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences across all levels of the organization.
