Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced engineer to join a team that develops, scales, and optimizes software for quantum computing and quantum system simulations. The role emphasizes GPU-accelerated HPC algorithms across generations and close collaboration with NVIDIA Research, Developer Technology, and Product Management.

You will lead, mentor, and design high-performance software, work with external partners, and benchmark multi-node performance to push the state of the art in quantum simulations.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in CS, Applied Math, Physics, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience.
• Excellent C++ and Python programming and software design.
• Experience with GPUs, multi-threading, MPI, and hardware-aware optimization.
• Experience developing scientific software for quantum simulations.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and optimize GPU-accelerated algorithms across multiple hardware generations.
• Develop HPC algorithms to scale quantum circuit simulations.
• Collaborate with NVIDIA Research, Developer Technology, and Product Management teams.
• Interact with external partners and researchers to understand use cases.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to other engineers.
• Analyze performance of GPU, CPU, multi-GPU/multi-node implementations for improvements.
