Job summary

You will develop, optimize, and scale GPU-accelerated simulations for quantum error correction, collaborating with NVIDIA Research, Developer Technology, and Product Management to meet researchers' needs.

The role emphasizes turning complex algorithms into robust software primitives, with leadership responsibilities and opportunities to mentor other specialists.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent modern C++ and Python programming, debugging and performance testing.
• Deep understanding of quantum error correction (QEC) and stabilizer formalism.
• Experience converting research algorithms into robust, reusable software primitives.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative algorithms to accelerate QEC workload simulations at scale.
• Research, develop and optimize GPU-accelerated algorithms across hardware generations.
• Collaborate with NVIDIA Research, Developer Technology, and Product Management teams.
• Engage with external partners to understand use cases and requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other specialists.
