Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a highly experienced engineer to advance quantum computing software through scalable QEC simulations and GPU-accelerated algorithms. You will work with NVIDIA Research, Developer Technology, and Product teams to translate research into robust, reusable software libraries.

Ideal candidates have deep QEC knowledge, strong C++/Python skills, and a track record of high-performance computing. A PhD or MS in a related field, 8+ years of experience, and collaboration across

Qualifications

  • Excellent modern C++ and Python programming skills, including debugging and performance testing.
  • Proven track record translating research algorithms into robust software primitives.
  • Expert understanding of QEC and stabilizer formalism, including Pauli-frame propagation and stabilizer tableaux.
  • Strong grasp of noise models, including Pauli and non-Pauli representations.
  • Familiarity with Stim, Qiskit Aer, PennyLane, Cirq or cuQuantum SDK.
  • Strong communication and cross-team collaboration.
  • PhD or MS in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant research or software development experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop novel algorithms to accelerate QEC workload simulations at scale.
  • Research and optimize GPU-accelerated algorithms across hardware generations.
  • Collaborate with NVIDIA Research, Developer Technology, and Product teams.
  • Engage with external partners to understand use cases and requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other specialists.
