Job summary

D‑Wave Quantum Inc. is seeking a Senior Application Developer for the Government Business Solutions team. You will deliver applications running on D‑Wave’s quantum systems and work with customers to bring solutions to market.

The role focuses on Python development, including LEAP cloud services and Ocean open-source tools, with opportunities to collaborate across internal teams and client projects. A TS security clearance is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Python experience with NumPy, Pandas and Scikit-learn is required.
• BSc in Computer Science or related field; Masters/PhD is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of probability, statistics and math.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Experience building open-source apps for customers or market releases.
• Experience working with federal agencies is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain US Government Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms to solve complex problems while building apps on D‑Wave systems.
• Implement and optimize performance of commercial quantum applications in Python.
• Build custom applications for customers or market releases.
• Ensure successful delivery of projects with positive customer impact.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and design solutions.
• Become proficient in LEAP cloud and Ocean open-source tools.
