Job summary

O'Neill and Brennan are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on planned maintenance schemes in London. Based mainly at Dagenham offices with office/site presence and 1–2 days work from home.

You will manage costs, procure subcontract packages, analyse tenders and safeguard final accounts, working closely with project teams and clients to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. Immediate start possible, temp-to-perm.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting or similar commercial environment
• Previous experience working on planned maintenance, repairs, refurbishment or housing maintenance programmes would be advantageous
• Strong commercial experience with the ability to manage costs, procurement, valuations and final accounts
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and position within an established and growing business

Responsibilities

• Taking commercial responsibility for planned maintenance works and associated programmes
• Managing the commercial performance of projects from inception through to completion
• Procuring and commercially managing subcontract packages
• Preparing subcontract enquiries, analysing tenders, negotiating and making recommendations for award
• Managing subcontractor payments, valuations and variations
• Ability to take ownership of commercial responsibilities and work autonomously
• Experience working collaboratively with operational teams, clients and subcontractors
• Available to start at short notice
