Job summary

National Highways is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead end-to-end commercial and contract management on a major DBFO portfolio. The role covers performance, governance, and risk across multi-project programs with a hybrid office/remote setup.

You will line-manage a team of Quantity Surveyors, oversee supply chain activity, manage change events, and interface with major projects and legal advisors to protect the client’s interests.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent technical qualification.
• Professional qualification MRICS or MCInstCES, or equivalent.
• Demonstrable experience in contract administration, ideally NEC/PFI forms of contract.

Responsibilities

• Lead on commercial and contract management and assurance of all works.
• Line management, mentoring and coaching within the team; support professional qualifications.
• Oversee supply chain management, cost capture and monthly payment assessments.
• Manage change including Early Warning and Compensation Events with clients and supply chain.
• Interface with major projects, stakeholders, and legal advisors to ensure governance approvals.
• Provide specialist advice on complex commercial matters in a civil engineering/infrastructure context.
