Job summary

PPM Recruitment seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor for its Northampton operation, specialising in drylining and interiors. You will manage the commercial delivery from tender through to final accounts, ensuring cost control and profitability while liaising with Directors and clients.

You will oversee procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts on multiple projects, with a focus on achieving strong commercial outcomes and maintaining robust cost reporting across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Experience working within drylining, plastering, suspended ceilings, partitions or interior fit-out.
• Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement, valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial delivery of drylining and interiors projects from start to completion.
• Preparing and submitting monthly valuations and applications for payment.
• Managing variations, change control and final accounts.
• Overseeing subcontractor procurement, package negotiations and payment applications.
• Monitoring project budgets, costs, cash flow and profit margins.
• Reviewing tender documentation, pricing enquiries and identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
• Negotiating with clients, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Maintaining accurate commercial records and providing regular cost reports to Directors.
