Fawkes & Reece Group is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a Suffolk site based role on DFE Education projects. The role leads a £76 million new build school and future regional projects, with site work 5 days a week, 8:30am-5:30pm.

You will report on financials, manage procurement and subcontract orders, and develop strong client and supply chain relationships to achieve project targets and high quality outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• Tier one Main Contractor experience.
• DFE School experience is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Actively develop and strengthen relationships with the supply chain to maximise team and business goals.

Opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for a leading Main Contractor. This is a role to join their Eastern division and work for one of the most successful privately owned Main Contractor.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor

For this role, our client is looking for a proactive, passionate Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. You will work site based in Suffolk, with visits to their south Cambridgeshire office. The role is to lead a £76 Million New build school as well as future project secured in the region.

This role is full time, permanent role 5 days per week, 830am - 530pm.

Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Tackle difficult issues early.
• Financial Control of the Project, maximising profitability but maintaining client and supply chain relationships.
• Identify and eliminate risk.
• Aspire to the very highest standards of quality, service and business performance, tackling difficult issues early, striving to eliminate risk and achieving project targets.
• Actively develop and strengthen relationships with clients and their teams to maximise team and business goals.
• Drive and maintain a high level of financial and commercial control
• Adopt a professional and considerate approach to maintain good working relationships.
• Be a lead team leader.
• Support the Contracts Manager/Operations Director in achieving successful project delivery
• Actively develop and strengthen relationships with the supply chain to maximise team and business goals.
• Production, management and mitigation (where applicable) of any Extension of Time or Delay Claims under the Contract.
• Management of External Account inclusive of all variations.
• Management of the Procurement Process and the placement of Sub-contract orders in accordance with the agreed Procurement Schedule.
• Negotiation of Contract Terms in conjunction with line manager.
• Lead and manage the Value Engineering process including liaising with all key stakeholders
• Settlement of Disputes.
• Any other duties associated with this position which are related to the objectives of the Company or Team or contribute to individual development.

Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor
