Job summary

Zekelman Industries’ Wheatland Tube division in Rochelle, IL is seeking a Quality Technician to support plant quality initiatives through inspections, testing, and environmental process monitoring. You’ll thrive in a hands-on manufacturing environment focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, computational, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong team player with cross-department coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and testing to support plant quality requirements.
• Notify operations if product is out of tolerance and verify quality after adjustments.
• Identify root causes and resolve issues before impacting quality.
• Monitor pH instrumentation and perform titrations on process tanks and wastewater systems.
• Train employees on quality procedures and requirements.
• Coordinate special projects and participate in continuous improvement and yield initiatives.
• Maintain regular, full-time, onsite attendance.
