Job summary

You will work with New Product Development, Product Support, and Value Engineering to drive quality objectives and on-time delivery. The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and experience in regulated environments, with expertise in FMEA, GD&T, SPC, and DOE.

Qualifications

• Regulated new product development environment.
• Experience with soft goods, textiles, foams, rubber, films or equivalent.
• Manufacturing quality experience in a regulated product field.
• Test development and execution in a regulated product field.
• Engineering tools include Critical to Quality/Quality Function Deployment, GD&T, SPC, DOE, Control Plans, FMEA and metrology methods.
• Statistical tools such as MiniTab.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality activities of project teams to meet Project Quality Objectives as well as Time-To-Market, Cost and Performance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, and Regulatory teams to translate customer needs and regulatory requirements into product performance and design specifications.
• Develop and execute risk-based test procedures to validate product specifications and ensure Quality and Reliability readiness.
• Lead Risk Assessments (Design and Manufacturing) during the product development cycle.
• Draw concise, logical, written conclusions from experiments based on data analysis.
• Perform failure analysis and recommend solutions with corrective action, as required.
• Proactively seek out quality improvements for new and existing products.
• Lead supplier evaluation, process qualification, capability assessment, manufacturing readiness, and quality planning for global suppliers and manufacturing sites.
• Collaborate with US, European, and Asian based manufacturing and supplier representatives to ensure operational readiness of new product launches.
