Jobot is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead QA and QC activities in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment in Saint Bernard, OH. This on-site, permanent role emphasizes ASME/AWS compliance, welding quality, and regulatory adherence.

The successful candidate will manage a QA team, implement quality systems, and drive continuous improvement. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 5+ years QA leadership, knowledge of heat treatment, and preferred AWS CWI/CRI

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • AWS CWI and/or CRI certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control methods and standards and heat treatment processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols to ensure production activities comply with all internal and external requirements.
  • Lead the quality assurance team in conducting inspections and tests to ensure the quality of raw materials and finished products.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop best practices for the prevention of defects and the improvement of product quality.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the quality control systems to ensure they are effective and efficient.
  • Review and analyze quality assurance data and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Ensure all quality assurance activities comply with industry regulations and standards.
  • Conduct training and workshops to enhance the knowledge and skills of the quality assurance team.
  • Manage the budget for the quality assurance department and ensure cost-effective operations.
