Job summary

The State of Colorado, through the Colorado Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), seeks a Senior Quality Manager to lead QC/QA inspections statewide and drive improvements in residential energy efficiency projects. This role combines building science knowledge with strong leadership to ensure program integrity.

You will oversee a team across Colorado, coordinate with subgrantees, and implement training to boost quality performance while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of working, inspection, and/or training experience in weatherization, residential energy efficiency services, or closely related field.
• Minimum two years of direct supervisory experience in the last five years.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team that is not co‑located with virtual collaboration strategies and tools.
• Demonstrated experience tracking compliance, reviewing staff reporting, and processing/approving invoices.
• Dedicated to continuous improvement, desire to learn new skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and facilitation capabilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on developing strong relationships.
• Ability to independently start and finish tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
• Willingness to adapt to and enhance current team culture.
• Proficient in Google Suite or Microsoft Office and video conferencing tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Quality Management staff in completing QC inspections and QA visits across Colorado.
• Balance team bandwidth and collaborate to foster innovation.
• Translate federal guidelines into actionable insights for subgrantee networks.
• Provide mentorship and leadership within a collaborative environment.
• Partner with WAP teams to integrate quality outcomes with targeted training.
• Develop and deliver guidance to subgrantees during leadership transitions.
• Identify bottlenecks and modernize workflows to scale program reach.
• Address safety hazards and escalate as needed to program leadership.
• Produce QM metrics and report outcomes to leadership and partners.
