Job summary

Genpak in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Quality Manager to lead QA initiatives and maintain food safety standards across the site. The role requires strong collaboration with corporate, plant operations, vendors, and customers to ensure production of quality products.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality leadership, data analysis, and Lean Six Sigma, with a focus on audits, CAPA, and cross-functional training. This is an exempt, on-site leadership position.

Qualifications

• BS in Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Business Management (or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years Quality leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience.
• Experience analyzing data and solving problems.
• QA software and company systems knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal skills to train, communicate and lead effectively.
• MS Office and database familiarity.
• Experience with plastics processing machinery or related properties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Quality Management System to align with food safety, regulatory, customer, and corporate standards.
• Lead food safety audit team (pest control, GMP audits).
• Oversee inspection and testing of materials/product for quality adherence.
• Manage QA testing equipment calibration and daily QA technician activities.
• Drive continual improvement using Lean Six Sigma tools (FMEA, 8D, 5 Why, SPC).
• Manage CAPA process for quality improvements and investigate customer complaints.
• Oversee QA information systems for accurate issue tracking and reporting.
• Facilitate compliance with HACCP, GMP, SQF, and customer audits.
