Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Quality Manager to join the PM+CM team on rail and transit infrastructure projects. You will oversee the project’s quality program and coordinate with CTA, design consultants and general contractors to ensure QA/QMS compliance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10+ years in quality assurance for transit or design-build work, with strong leadership and risk-management skills. TYLin offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar with 10+ years QA experience in rail/transit design-build.
• Experience QA functions related to transit including structural, architectural, civil, MEP, and vertical conveying equipment.
• Proven ability to manage project risk through all phases.
• Strong communication with management, clients, vendors, contractors and stakeholders.
• Proven capability to develop and direct quality processes per Quality Program.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with CTA QA/QC Guidelines.
• Coordinate quality issues between TYLin, CTA, Design Consultants (DCs), and General Contractors (GCs).
• Schedule and coordinate management reviews of the QMS to verify effectiveness and promote continuous improvement.
• Implement and manage training for TYLin staff to ensure adherence to the QAP.
• Schedule and coordinate regular quality meetings to review status of non-conformance reports and quality activities.
• Monitor and verify GCs' inspection activities during construction as specified in contract documents.
• Monitor testing activities performed by GC's independent testing agencies.
• Coordinate inspection activities between Field Inspectors and GC staff.
• Monitor the schedule to ensure inspection and testing activities are scheduled.
