Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the QA/QMS on rail, transit and other infrastructure projects. You will implement the QAP and coordinate with CTA, design consultants and general contractors to ensure conformance with contract documents and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Quality Management System (QMS).
• Coordinate and manage all quality-related issues between TYLin, CTA, DCs and GCs.
• Schedule and coordinate management reviews of the QMS to verify effectiveness and promote continuous improvement.
• Monitor inspection and testing activities by GCs and their testing companies.

The candidate will be responsible for the overall management and supervision of the project’s quality program.Responsibilities & QualificationsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Implement the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with CTA QA/QC Guidelines.Coordinate and manage all quality related issues between the TYLin team, CTA, Design Consultants (DCs), and General Contractors (GCs).Schedule and coordinate management reviews of the QMS to verify effectiveness and promote continuous improvement.Implement and manage the system for training the TYLin staff to ensure adherence to the QAP.Schedule and coordinate regular quality meetings for the program to review status of non-conformance reports and coordination of quality activities.Monitor and verify GCs’ inspection activities during construction to ensure that required inspections are performed and documented as specified in the contract documents.Monitor testing activities performed by the GCs’ independent testing companies.Coordinate inspection activities between the Field Inspectors and GCs’ staff.Monitor the schedule to ensure that inspection and testing activities are scheduled.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar and and ten (10)+ years of quality assurance work on rail, transit, or other design-build projects.Experience working with quality assurance functions related to transit with a focus on major elements of structural, architectural, civil, MEP and vertical conveying equipment required.Experience managing project risk throughout all project phases is preferred.Experience working with staff and procedures on large, complex projects.Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.Experience developing, implementing, and directing the processes that result in a specific level of quality required by a Quality Program.Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.Additional InformationTYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $153,600 - $230,400 annually for this position and local market.
