Job summary

Sierra Circuits, Inc. is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee the PCB manufacturing quality program in Sunnyvale, CA. You will lead a team of inspectors and engineers to maintain compliance with QMS standards, drive continuous improvement, and ensure products meet stringent specifications.

The role requires strong leadership, deep IPC/ISO knowledge, and excellent data-driven decision-making. Collaborations with engineering and production are essential to optimize processes and prevent defects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience in PCB manufacturing and quality control processes.
• Deep understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and industry standards (IPC, ISO).
• Strong analytical skills to identify trends and root causes.
• Proven leadership skills to manage and motivate a quality team.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools to track quality metrics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust QMS system aligned with industry standards.
• Lead a team of quality inspectors to conduct thorough inspections at various stages of PCB manufacturing.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to all relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements related to PCB manufacturing.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Manage customer service tickets and coordinate with cross-functional teams to prevent recurrences.
• Handle customer audits and ensure findings are closed timely with proper root cause and prevention.
• Schedule and handle recertifications such as ISO, AS9100.
• Train and develop the quality team on new procedures and IPC600 standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and customer service to address quality concerns.
• Generate comprehensive quality reports and KPIs for management.
