Job summary

Leonardo S.p.A. in Philadelphia is seeking a Senior Quality Manager for Flight Line to lead the quality control of helicopter flight line activities. You will ensure FAA Part 21 and AS9100 compliance, guiding the team to deliver pre-flight, ground test and flight-tested aircraft with zero defects.

The role requires Lean Six Sigma expertise, strong leadership, and collaboration with operations and customers. Reports to the VP Manufacturing, with a focus on safety, cost, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of management and quality experience.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and FAA requirements.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma and CI methodologies.
• Ability to engage with partners and executives at multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Safe, on-time actions bringing production helicopters to operation, ground run, and delivery.
• Resource management, deployment of resources, training and competency building.
• Ensure Quality System compliance with FAA guidelines and procedures.
• Represents QC as the primary contact for customer delivery activities.
• Proactive planning and execution of aircraft operations, acceptance and delivery.
• Lead continuous improvement using DMAIC and data-driven methods.
