Job summary

Fusion Recruiters, LLC is assisting a global manufacturer in finding a Senior Quality Manager focused on Design Assurance. This role works upstream in new-product development, partnering with engineering to identify design risks and improve product reliability for successful manufacturing launches.

You will lead DFMEA, connect design requirements to PFMEA and launch readiness, and drive cross-functional teamwork across engineering, testing and operations to deliver robust designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of quality, reliability, design, or product development experience.
• Hands-on DFMEA experience.
• New-product development and manufacturing-launch exposure.
• Strong design-risk, verification or validation fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in heavy equipment, automotive, aerospace, defense, or complex-product environments is valuable.
• Candidates from adjacent regulated industries will be considered with transferable design-assurance experience.

• Translate warranty and field-performance information into design improvements
• Influence engineering, testing, manufacturing and other cross-functional teams

We are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
• 5+ years of relevant quality, reliability, design or product-development experience
• Hands-on DFMEA experience
• New-product development and manufacturing-launch exposure
• Strong design-risk, verification or validation fundamentals
• Technical credibility combined with excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Experience in heavy equipment, automotive, aerospace, defense, commercial vehicles or another complex-product environment is valuable.

Candidates from adjacent regulated industries will also be considered when they can demonstrate transferable design-assurance experience.
